There are different ways to get rid of hyperlinks in text pasted into Word documents. In the Windows version of Word, if your document is set up with hyperlinks in the ToC, they will be retained when you use Save As to choose the PDF file format and either of the "Optimize for" options available. To remove a single hyperlink, right-click on the hyperlink and select Remove Hyperlink on the popup menu.
